Church of the Living God is a Church that completely believes that one of the most important ways to show your love and loyalty to God, is to help His people. We have discovered, as many other Churches, that the only way you can accomplish the goals that you have in reaching people with gospel, or with the help they may need, is to have Gods people, feel that same burden, and get in there with you, giving of what they have to be a blessing to the kingdom of God, in any way they can.

Back to School Supply Giveaway

Every year in August, the Church of the Living God hosts our annual Back to School Supply Giveaway. A Sister started it many years ago and we have carried on the tradition. Throughout the year we collect school supplies and clothes that we will give away on that day. We try and give them everything they will need, contained in a backpack. We also give them the collected clothes and shoes. We have local barbers/hairdressers come in and provide haircuts and trims. We have a lunch provided with treats and a raffle give away where virtually every child goes home with a toy or stuffed animal. It is held in the same community in our town and the parents and children there, really look forward to our coming each year. It is an outreach that we also look forward to providing, Knowing we are helping families, in the midst of these uncertain times.
